Tyrus is a junior in the G.S.I.S./Chinese program at Embry-Riddle. Having written for Horizons since the fall of 2011, Tyrus hopes to continue doing so until his graduation in the spring of 2014. Working for Horizons, he usually covers news from groups like the Student Veterans Organization, but has been known to catch the odd soccer game as well. Tyrus is originally from the great state of Arizona. He was born and grew up just 40 miles away from Prescott in a small town called Cottonwood (near Sedona). He was drawn to Embry-Riddle because of the Air Force ROTC program, and plans to serve in the military upon graduation. Aside from writing for Horizons, Tyrus is also involved with Arnold Air Society, a service organization open to AFROTC cadets. He is also an avid flash-ball player, and plays in the intramural league. When not doing any of those things, Tyrus can usually be found watching movies or reading a good book.
